On 2 February, at the regular sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Health, the Draft Law “On Making Amendments and Addenda to the Law on Medical Aid and Service for Population ” authored by RA NA Deputies Narek Zeynalyan and Lusine Badalyan was discussed in the first reading.

According to Narek Zeynalyan, it is proposed to stipulate in the law that pathological anatomical autopsies are performed post-mortem to diagnose diseases and determine the cause of death only in organizations providing medical care and services in the hospital. According to him, the incorporation of this provision will allow to make the pathological-anatomical activity controllable. It is also recommended that in the event of a non-pathological autopsy, provide medical care and services organizations to have corpse care, treatment and preservation services
RA Deputy Minister of Health Armen Nazaryan, emphasizing the importance of the draft, presented the positive opinion of the Government.
The Committee gave a positive conclusion to the Draft Law.
