There is some concern in the public and university circles about the progress of the criminal case ordered by some Russian forces. Rector of the Armenian-Russian University Armen Darbinyan wrote about this on his Facebook page.
“In this connection, I have the following to report.
- I will not disclose any information about the details of the examination, still believing in the impartiality and sovereignty of the Armenian investigation;
- I have provided the investigator with the necessary evidence that the case was ordered and fabricated;
- There is, of course, an option when the case is suspended in order to keep the person in tension and make him manageable. Such tricks have been known since the time of the NKVD. I hope that the Armenian investigators will not go that way and will terminate the case due to the lack of its material. In any case, I should mention that there are three axes that control me: it is the sovereignty of our country (including in the sense of being a co-founder of the university), my national and personal dignity, and my academic and civil liberties. There is no room for fear here;
- I have applied with letters to Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov with the request to stop the artificial and invented noise around the university and to call the arrogant officials to order and bring them to justice. If necessary, they will be published;
- The university operates with its natural rhythm, and something more purposeful.
“GOD BLESS,” he noted.
