“I want to touch upon the Ministry of Health of Armenia and its policy,” Gegham Nazaryan, a member of the “Hayastan” faction, said during an exchange of views in the National Assembly.
According to him, when the Constitutional Court was examining the issue of reporting of PCR tests, and mandatory vaccination, hearing the arguments of the Ministry of Justice, he had the impression that the country is in a terrible state.
“Terrible, because this policy is implemented by people who are guided by the materials published by some American website in making decisions,” the MP said.
Nazaryan noted that the goal of the Ministry of Health is not to fight against coronavirus disease, but to follow the instructions of the World Health Organization and vaccinate as many people as possible.
“You publish figures that more than 1.5 million people have been vaccinated and you do not say how many people actually live in Armenia. Those numbers are also incomprehensible; do you mean the citizens of the Republic of Armenia or the Iranians and Chinese who have been vaccinated in Armenia? You say that from 22 January, only those who have been vaccinated will go to restaurants, and then many people will have to be in transport hugging each other. In other words, you are not fighting against the epidemic, but just want to vaccinate as many people as possible. You think so primitively that a week ago you said that the “omicron” would come, a week later you said it came. I was fine,” the MP said.
