The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia has published an amended version of the Draft Law “On Making Amendments to the Law on General Education” on the e-draft.am public discussion platform.
It should be reminded that the draft amendment to the Law “On General Education” was discussed in the first reading at the 16 December special sitting of the previous year and was adopted by the National Assembly. Prior to the second reading and the final discussion, the draft was amended based on the submitted suggestions and remarks.
The proposed change envisages the introduction of an improved school management system, by 2023 in all regions of the country and in Yerevan to pass to universal inclusive general education, to give new content to 12-year education, to give teachers new opportunities for professional development.
