The Court of general Jurisdiction of Shirak marz considers the criminal case initiated against Michael Voskanyan, Armen Voskanyan and Gagik Simonyan.
According to the judicial information system Michael Voskanyan, Armen Voskanyan and Gagik Simonyan are charged for the fact that after reaching a prior criminal agreement, they kidnapped Sima Stepanyan with the intention that Michael Voskanyan will marry with her.
Arrest was chosen as a restraint against Michael Voskanyan, the other two defendants were released with cognizance not to leave the place.
Pursuant to Part 2 of Article 131 of the RA Criminal Code: “The recruitment, transportation, transfer, harboring, or receipt of persons by means of the threat or use of force, of kidnapping, of fraud, of other deception, of the abuse of power or of a position of vulnerability in case of the absence of the features foreseen in Article 218 of the Code is punished with imprisonment for the term of 4 to 8 years.”
Note. Everyone charged with a criminal offense shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty by the court verdict lawfully entered into force as prescribed by Criminal Procedure Code.
