EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia Toivo Klaar commented on the meeting between the Armenian and Turkish Special Representatives in his Twitter account.
“Welcome news about the meeting in Moscow between Armenia and Turkey representatives. Normalization of relations and opening of communications is an important objective that the European Union fully supports.”
The delegations of Armenia and Turkey arrived at the reception house of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Moscow, where the first meeting of the special representatives of the two countries on the normalization of bilateral relations will take place, RIA Novosti correspondent reported.
The Special Representative of Armenia is the Deputy President of the Armenian Parliament Ruben Rubinyan, and the Special Representative of Turkey is the former Ambassador to the United States Serdar Kılıç.
