“Gazprom Armenia” CJSC informs that on 13 January, a medium pressure surface gas pipeline passing through Artashesyan Street in Shengavit administrative district was damaged by a car accident.
In order to carry out restoration works the gas supply was cut off from 18:00 in a number of sections of Shengavit administrative district, including Artashesyan, Hovsepyan, Mayisi 9 streets, Chekhov-Bagratunyats streets, Charbakh’s district, as well as Isakov Avenue; gas supply to the consumers of a part (US Embassy-Police Academy), Kashegortsner Street, a part of Arshakunyats Avenue, “Brusov” district was cut off as well.
It should be reminded that today, on 13 January, a car collided with a gas pipe near the building No. 42/6 on Artashisyan Street, as a result of which a gas leak occurred, causing a fire.
Fire complexity “Number 3″ was confirmed. “Four fire brigades” from the fire-rescue detachments of the rescue department of the Yerevan city of the Ministry of Emergency Situations left for the scene.
