The order of withdrawal of the CSTO peacekeeping force from Kazakhstan will be decided on 13 January

The Armenian side informed the CSTO Secretariat that the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev addressed the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan with a request to instruct the completion of the CSTO peacekeeping mission in Kazakhstan from 13 January, 2022..

CSTO reported.

“The CSTO Secretariat has prepared a draft of the relevant Decision of the Organization’s Collective Security Council and sent it to the heads of the CSTO member states for approval,” the statement said.

The procedure for the withdrawal of the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces will be approved by the CSTO Council of Defense Ministers, at the extraordinary meeting which will be held in the video conferencing mode on 13 January.

Earlier, CSTO Spokesman Vladimir Zainetdinov told TASS that the withdrawal of peacekeepers from Kazakhstan will begin on 13 January and last for 10 days.
