All these days I have been carefully monitoring the situation in the Republic of Kazakhstan, which is extremely dangerous not only for Kazakhstan, but also for neighboring countries and certain regions.
It is clear that behind the program aimed at destabilizing the situation, forming a belt of instability and terrorism in and around Kazakhstan, there are extremist groups and formations. In the context of the above, it is also obvious that radical pan-Turkist circles are actively involved in this process.
The circumstances that led to this situation prove that the most effective and efficient mechanism for preventing the growing escalation and preventing a new tragedy was the deployment of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) peacekeeping forces in Kazakhstan, the decision on which was made in accordance with the appeal of the authorities of this country.
Thanks to the more than timely assistance of the collective forces of the CSTO and, in particular, the peacekeeping mission of the Russian Federation, the relevant structures of Kazakhstan are consistently working towards the fight against organized crime and its neutralization. Thus, it was possible to prevent the creation of an unpredictable and explosive situation in Central Asia and adjacent regions, which could become a very serious threat to the security of Artsakh and Armenia.
Not so long ago, in September 2020, during a large-scale war unleashed by Azerbaijan, we witnessed the most brutal manifestations of extremism and terrorism.
In the face of serious efforts made by some members of the international community, and, in particular, thanks to the decisive contribution of Russia and the role of the Russian peacekeeping mission, it was possible to stop the war, reduce tensions and establish stability in our region.
The example of Kazakhstan and a number of other countries has once again demonstrated the need to develop coordinated approaches and expand practical cooperation on international and regional security, in particular against terrorist threats emanating from extremist organizations and groups.
And in general, the challenges of the modern world in the field of security, economy, ecology and in many other areas prove that the deepening of integration processes, the establishment of a new level of interaction and the formation of various union structures have become an imperative and the most effective way to minimize various threats and develop effective mechanisms of struggle with them.
