Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan wrote on his Facebook page:

“Human rights must become an integral part of the state-political agenda in border security issues.

The right to life, to live in dignity and security, to move freely, to own property, to privacy and other rights should be at the heart of public policy decisions.

Security issues should not be allowed to be separated from the problems of everyday life, from the rights of border residents.

Politics should not allow human rights to be overshadowed.

“If we continue to ignore human rights, we will further damage our security with irreversible consequences.”
