Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote on his Facebook page:
“During the trilateral meeting with the President of the Council of Europe Charles Michel and the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, we reaffirmed the agreement with the President of Azerbaijan on the reopening of the railway.
Accordingly, the railway will operate in accordance with internationally accepted border and customs rules, on a reciprocal basis, under the sovereignty and jurisdiction of the countries.
Armenia will have access to the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation by railway.
We also agreed to continue contacts.”
It should be noted that Nikol Pashinyan will take part in the sixth summit of the Eastern Partnership on 15 December in Brussels. Within the framework of the event, bilateral meetings of the RA Prime Minister with European partners are envisaged.
