On 14 December the President of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan met with the Acting Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council Gagik Jhangiryan and the members of the Council.
During the meeting, they referred to the role of the SJC in the justice system, the work aimed at ensuring the normal functioning of the judiciary, and legislative initiatives aimed at increasing the efficiency of the judiciary. Issues related to the provision of social guarantees for judges were also discussed.
The effective cooperation between the Supreme Judicial Council and the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs of the National Assembly was also touched upon.
