The Supreme Judicial Council adopted a new decision on 15 November, which in particular reads:

Pursuant to Article 89, Part 1, Clause 32 and  Article 94, Part 1 of the Constitutional Law “Judicial Code of the Republic of Armenia”, and Article 9, Part 1 of the “Law on Service in Judicial Department”, the Supreme Judicial Council decided:

1. To appoint Armen Hrant Harutyunyan to the position of the Head of the Judicial Department for a term of five years.”

It should be noted that he previously held the position of Deputy Prosecutor.
