Rector of Yerevan State Medical University Armen Muradyan wrote on his Facebook page:

“The medical community has a painful loss again…

I learned with deep sorrow that Professor Eduard Sekoyan had passed away.

The renowned specialist was the responsible co-editor of the “Climate, Health and Medical Resources of Armenia” atlas, the author of more than 200 scientific works, numerous inventions, educational and methodical manuals.

The YSMU graduate had an interesting career path, setting an example for future doctors.
On behalf of the faculty and students, I extend my condolences to Eduard Sekoyan’s family members, relatives and friends.

The insidious disease won again.”
