The hearing in the case of Judge Zaruhi Nakhshkaryan was postponed to November 11: SJC

The Supreme Judicial Council informs:

“Today, on 4 November, the Supreme Judicial Council heard the motion submitted by the Ministry of Justice on the issue of subjecting to disciplinary liability the Judge of the Court of First Instance of the city of Yerevan Zaruhi Nakhshkaryan.

According to the justification of the motion, the judge committed violations of the rules of conduct provided in Article 69, Part 1, Clause 1 and Article 70, Part 2, Clause 1 of the Judicial Code of the Republic of Armenia. At the beginning of the sitting, the representative of the Ministry of Justice Yeranuhi Tumanyants submitted a motion of self-withdrawal to SJC member Stepan Mikayelyan. The Council decided to grant the motion.

Judge Zaruhi Nakhshkaryan’s representative, Ruben Melikyan, asked the Board for time to review the previous hearings to see if there were grounds for the other members of the Council to withdraw.

Today’s sitting was postponed, it will continue on 11 November at 16:00.”
