The hearings in the case ED/0253/01/19 resumed today in the Court of General Jurisdiction of the city of Yerevan.
The Second President of the Republic of Armenia Robert Kocharyan does not participate in the court session. As lawyer Hayk Alumyan informed, one of the president’s relatives has been diagnosed with coronavirus. During the last few days, Robert Kocharyan has communicated a lot with that person.
Today, certain signs of coronavirus were noticed at the President, he passed a test. The lawyer also mentioned that if, nevertheless, the court finds that Kocharyan should appear, he will appear at the session within 15 minutes.
During the session, Alumyan clarified that the answer to the test will be this evening, between 17:30 and 18:00.
Prosecutor Gevorg Baghdasaryan demanded that the lawyer to clarify what specific signs Kocharyan had. After receiving the answer, the prosecutor mentioned that there was no other issue to discuss.
The court session was postponed for a week until 9 November.
