According to the RA Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan, the frequency of testing in other countries is being studied now; it is not excluded that in the near future there will be demand in Armenia to be tested once a week.

The Minister said this at a meeting with journalists on 16 October.

According to her, the meaning of such a requirement is that in case of receiving a positive answer after the test, people should isolate themselves, not go to work, not to infect their colleagues, friends, people with whom they communicate.

“In the fall, the disease generally increases. 1800 to 1900 new beds are provided for the treatment of coronavirus patients, but our resources are not endless. This does not only apply to beds, first of all to medical staff. We must do everything possible to curb the spread of the disease in the next two or three weeks,” the Minister said.
