The “Hayastan” faction, as it stated, has challenged the legislative package on community enlargement in the Constitutional Court.

“It is noteworthy that the President of the Republic Armen Sarkissian, who constantly complains about his powers, having a constitutional obligation to monitor the observance of the Constitution, in the conditions when the legislative package, contradicting the requirements of the recent decision of the Constitutional Court, violating the right to be heard of 441 communities, did not apply to the Constitutional Court, and simply limited to meetings with some government officials.

The “Armenia” faction, taking into account the urgency of the issue, also submitted a motion to the Constitutional Court to immediately suspend the validity of this legislative package.
