The National Assembly elected a member of the Public Services Regulatory Commission. Opposition factions nominated Ara Nranyan for the post of commission member as an agreed joint candidate.
75 deputies took part in the voting, 68 deputies voted “for” and 7 deputies “against”.
It should be noted that Nranyan has been the ARF Bureau’s economic advisor since 2004. Lecturer at the Armenian State University of Economics. He is the author of articles in a number of scientific, publicist, and analytical studies and articles..
On 12 May, 2007, he was elected a deputy of the National Assembly from the ARF party by the proportional electoral system.
