The Territorial Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Artsakh Republic has initiated proceedings on the shooting on 1 September, at around 11:00, 15:00 and 19:00, and on 2 September, at around 11:00 fired in the direction of the residents of Khnapat and Sarushen communities of Askeran region, as well as four residents of Stepanakert city who were collecting harvest. The shooting, was made with the direct intent to illegally kill two or more persons on the grounds of national, racial or religious hatred or religious fanaticism by unknown serviceman/men of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces from the Azerbaijani military position located on the outskirts of the village of Aknaghbyur, Askeran region. The criminal case was initiated under Article 33/103, Part 2, Clauses 1 and 14 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Artsakh on the case of firing.

The Investigative Committee of the Artsakh Republic reported.
