The functions assigned to the Medical Technical Commission of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs are now carried out by the Joint Social Service’s Support Department.

People with disabilities can apply:

• Orthosis and orthosis prescription (except for children);
• First upper and/or lower limb prosthetics and prosthesis type appointment;
• In case of double amputation of the upper and/or lower limbs, provision of a new prosthesis;
• Change of the type of upper and lower limb prostheses, provision of support means outside the warranty period;
• Disputed cases related to the provision of support funds within the warranty period;
• Supportive measures, in particular, upper and lower limb prostheses, repair of lower limb orthoses and orthoprostheses and the implementation of such repairs before the deadline and a number of other cases defined by law.
