Today, on 8 September, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed a decision stating,
“Pursuant to Article 9 (1) of the Law of the Republic of Armenia On Public Service, to appoint Karen Sarukhanyan Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations,” the decision reads.
Notably, from June 2018 to January 2019, Sarukhanyan held the post of Shirak governor.
On 9 December, 2018, he was elected a deputy of the National Assembly by the territorial electoral list of constituency # 11 of “My Step” Party Alliance.
