Arthur Aleksanyan, a member of the Armenian Greco-Roman wrestling team and a gold, silver and bronze medalist of the Olympic Games, thanked everyone for their support.
“There is a lot to say, but not now. We have what we have. With or without injury, I am always ready to fight for my country. Thank you for the congratulations. I felt your support every second,” Alexanyan wrote on his Instagram page.
It should be reminded that earlier the coach of the Armenian Greco-Roman wrestling team Gevorg Aleksanyan complained about the work of the referees who judged the wrestling matches of Armenian athletes at the Olympic Games.
Arthur Aleksanyan did not hang his Olympic medal around his neck during the award ceremony of the 97 kg Greco-Roman wrestling winners of the Tokyo Olympics, and then, according to Russian media, in the “mixed zone” of journalists, he said that one had to be Russian to win.
