The RA Investigative Committee has studied the criminal cases on domestic violence investigated in the its proceedings during the first half of 2021.
According to the studies, during the mentioned period 326 criminal cases on domestic violence were investigated by the RA Investigative Committee, 128 materials were prepared.

Out of the mentioned 326 criminal cases:
- 8 were initiated under Article 104 of the RA Criminal Code (murder);
- 1, according to Article 106 of the RA Criminal Code (murder of a newly born child by a mother);
- 5 under Article 110 of the RA Criminal Code (causing to commit suicide);
- 1 under Article 111 of the RA Criminal Code (abetment to suicide);
- 5 under Article 112 of the RA Criminal Code (Infliction of willful heavy damage to health);
- 3 under Article 113 of the RA Criminal Code (Infliction of willful medium-gravity damage to health);
- 19 under Article 117 of the RA Criminal Code (Infliction of willful light damage to health);
- 161 under Article 118 of the RA Criminal Code (Battery);
- 17 under Article 119 of the RA Criminal Code (willfully causing strong pain or bodily or mental sufferance);
- 2 – Article 121 of the RA Criminal Code (Inflicting medium-gravity damage through negligence);
- 2 under Article 131 of the RA Criminal Code (kidnapping);
- 2 under Article 133 of the RA Criminal Code (Illegal deprivation of freedom);
- 21 under Article 137 (Threat to murder, to inflict heavy damage to one’s health or to destroy property);
- 3 under Article 138 of the RA Criminal Code (rape)
- 1 under Article 139 of the RA Criminal Code (Violent sexual actions);
- 5 under Article 141 of the RA Criminal Code (Sexual acts with a person under 16);
- 1 under Article 142 of the RA Criminal Code (Lecherous acts);
- Article 167.1 of the RA Criminal Code (obstructing a visit between a parent or other close relative and child);
- 3 under Article 168 of the RA Criminal Code (purchase of a child for the purpose of taking care of a child or sale of a child for the purpose of handing over the child to the caregiver);
- 13 under Article 173 of the RA Criminal Code (Willful evasion from supporting one’s child by the parent);
- 5 under Article 185 of the RA Criminal Code (Willful destruction or spoilage of property);
- 26 under Article 353.1 of the RA Criminal Code (intentional non-execution of the decision of urgent intervention or defense decision), and 8 under other articles of the RA Criminal Code.
145 people were involved in the above-mentioned criminal cases as defendants, of which 52 were 18-35 years old and 93 were over 35 years old.
Crimes committed in the family:
- 5 were committed by the mother,
- 1 by the father, 2 by the stepfather, 9 by the brother (sister);
- 16 by the child (including adopted);
- 6 by the by the wife, 90 by the husband of the couple;
- 4 by the husband’s parents;
- 3 performed by the bride (groom).
In the cases examined in the proceedings, 291 persons were recognized as victims, of which 39 – up to 12 years old, 1 up to 12-14 years old, 5 up to 14-16 years old, 4 up to 16-18 years old, 90 up to 18 -35 years old, 152 over 35 years old.
During the first half of 2021, 180 criminal cases on domestic violence were completed, 124 criminal cases were terminated, and 55 criminal cases were sent to court with indictments.
