On 30 July, the Azerbaijani armed forces once again provoked in the direction of Nakhichevan on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
In particular, from 11:20 to 11:30, the Azerbaijani units opened fire on the Armenian positions located in the Yeraskh area with sniper rifles and firearms of various calibers.
The enemy’s fire was silenced by retaliatory actions. There are no victims from the Armenian side.
Earlier, the RA Ministry of Defense reported that on 28 July, at around 3:40 am, the units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces attacked the Armenian positions located in the north-eastern direction of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
- At 08:20, the Ministry of Defense reported that military operations had been launched in the area from Sotk to Verin Shorzha, and an intensive shootout was underway.
- As of 07:30, we have two wounded; the information about these five servicemen is being clarified.
- As of 08:30, the Armenian side has three victims, two servicemen are wounded.
- As of 09:20, the enemy giving losses, was thrown back to their original positions. The shootout continues.
- As of 11:40 am, the Ministry of Defense announced that an agreement had been reached through the mediation of the Russian Peacekeeping Forces Command to restore the ceasefire on the Armenian-Azerbaijani line of contact in the north-eastern direction.
On 29 July, at around 3:00 am, in the Gegharkunik section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, in the direction of Karvachar, the units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, violating the ceasefire agreement reached the day before, again provoked by opening fire on the Armenian positions with firearms. The fire was stopped after the response of the Armenian side.
At around 08:40, the enemy opened fire again in the direction of the Armenian positions located in the Gegharkunik section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. One serviceman of the RA Armed Forces was wounded.
The RA Ministry of Defense stated that the entire responsibility for the aggravation of the situation falls on the military-political leadership of Azerbaijan.
