The RA Ministry of Defense informs:

“As of 09:20, the Azerbaijani units that launched an attack on the Armenian positions, having suffered losses, were thrown back to their original positions. The shootout continues.

The situation in the rest of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border is stable; it is under the full control of the subdivisions of the RA Armed Forces.”

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense reported that on 28 July, at around 3:40 am, the units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces once again resorted to provocation, violating the ceasefire in the north-eastern part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

Military operations are being carried out in the section from Sotk to Verin Shorzha, intensive shootouts are taking place. As of 07:30, we have two wounded; the information about five servicemen is being clarified.

At 08:20, the Ministry of Defense announced that military operations had been launched in the area from Sotk to Verin Shorzha, and an intensive skirmish was underway.
