On 23 July, at about 11:00 pm, the air defense units of the RA Armed Forces stopped the attempt to enter the airspace of the Republic of Armenia by UAV in the southwestern direction of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

As of 09:00 on the night of 24 July, the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border is relatively stable in all directions.

It should be reminded that on23 July, at around 17:00, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire on the Armenian positions located in the Gegharkunik section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

The RA Ministry of Defense informs.

It was preceded by shootings in their own Azerbaijani military bases, which may be due to an interpersonal incident between the Azerbaijani military. The fact that the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan mentions in its message that an Azerbaijani soldier was killed after the fire opened by the Armenian side also speaks about it. The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia states that it did not take counter-action until the moment when the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire on the Armenian positions.

As a result of the intense shooting due to provocation launched by the Azerbaijani side, 3 servicemen of the RA Armed Forces received light gunshot wounds. Their lives are not in danger.

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia strongly condemns the next provocation of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces. The entire responsibility for the aggravation of the situation falls on the military-political leadership of Azerbaijan.
