Today, the European Court published another verdict against Azerbaijan, stating that in 2009-2011 Azerbaijan tortured and illegally deprived A. Badalyan of his freedom. The latter had got lost and appeared in the territory of Azerbaijan. Liparit Drmeyan, the Head of Armenian State agent’s office before ECHR, wrote about this on his Facebook page.
“The European Court obliged Azerbaijan to pay 30,000 euros to A. Badalyan as compensation for non-pecuniary damage.
It is noteworthy that even now Azerbaijan continues to violate the rights of Armenian captives and civilians under its control,” Liparit Drmeyan said.
