The leader of the “Bright Armenia” Party Edmon Marukyan issued a statement stating:

“Dear compatriots,

As you know, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan has declared the chairman of the Union of Armenians of Russia, businessman Ara Abrahamyan, chairman of “Tashir” Group of Companies Samvel Karapetyan and chairman of “Royalsys Engineering” David Galstyan internationally wanted, claiming that 3 Armenian businessmen organized smuggling of different types of armaments to Armenia and NKR during 2001-21.

According to the report, the criminal case was initiated on 28 April, Abrahamyan, Karapetyan and Galstyan were involved as defendants, they were declared internationally wanted. The Prosecutor’s Office of Azerbaijan has applied to the “relevant state bodies of foreign countries” for legal assistance.

In connection with the above, I appealed to the RA Prosecutor General, proposing to initiate criminal cases on the same principle and declare internationally wanted all Azerbaijani big businessmen living abroad, who in any way supported Azerbaijan, the criminal military-political elite of Azerbaijan. The latter have organized war crimes against the civilian population and servicemen of Armenia and Artsakh, the continuation of those crimes after the end of hostilities, as well as the import of weapons to Azerbaijan in recent years, especially during the 44-day war in 2020.”
