The South Caucasus Railway (SCR) is launching the Almast (Yerevan) -Shorzha electric train for those who prefer to rest in Lake Sevan. The suburban seasonal electric train will operate from 18 June on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
The train departs from the platform of the same name near the “Almast” factory in the Kanaker-Zeytun community of Yerevan at 08:30, arriving at “Sevan” station at 10:28, and “Shorzha” at 11:28.
The electric train leaves “Shorzha” station in the opposite direction at 17:00, from “Sevan” at 18:00, returning to Yerevan at 20:00.
The price of a one-way ticket is 600 drams to “Sevan” station and 1,000 drams to “Shorzha”.
SCR arranges such a seasonal electric train every summer to create more comfortable conditions for recreation and to alleviate the roads leading to Lake Sevan.
