Edmon Marukyan about Ara Ayvazyan’s resignation

During the last parliamentary briefing of the National Assembly of the 7th convocation, Edmon Marukyan referred to the resignation of the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Ara Ayvazyan.

“We must realize that Armenia is in an extremely difficult situation, the government of acting officials and the constitutional regulations do not allow the appointment of a new minister instead of the resigned minister, the resignations of ministers can put our country in a very difficult situation. I think it is not difficult to represent our state interests for another three weeks,” Marukyan said.

According to him, at the moment Armenia needs the Ministry of Foreign Affairs more than the Ministry of Defense.

Notably, Ara Ayvazyan submitted his resignation on 27 May.
