On 14 May, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ara Ayvazyan had a telephone conversation with the Chairman of the CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin.. “The foreign ministers discussed the steps taken to resolve the situation on the state border of the Republic of Armenia since 12 May.
As continuation of the letters sent to the leaders of the CSTO member states on behalf of the RA Acting Prime Minister, Ara Ayvazyan stressed the need to implement the consultation mechanism provided for in Article 2 of the Collective Security Treaty.
The Chairman of the CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers Sirojiddin Muhriddin informed the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ara Ayvazyan that the current Chairman of the CSTO Collective Security Council, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon has already given relevant instructions.
