The “Hanrapetutyun” Party (“Republic” Party) sees the full solution to the current situation with the issue of transit roads through Syunik with the adoption of a UN Security Council resolution, as proposed by the French President Emmanuel Macron. The political council of the “Hanrapetutyun” Party issued a statement on this.

“Taking into account the positions of the United States and the European Union on Artsakh, the statement of the British Ambassador to Azerbaijan James Sharp that the status of Nagorno Karabakh is still unresolved, the Minsk Group Co-Chairs should play their role, the “Hanrapetutyun” Party considers that the issue of Artsakh’s status must be resolved within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group, and the only way to prevent possible Armenian-Azerbaijani clashes is to internationalize the issue. Therefore, it joins the French President’s proposal to address the UN Security Council,” the statement said.
