Lawyer Norayr Norikyan writes.
“I assess the situation in Syunik as an attack on Armenia.
To put it mildly, it is strange for me how the protection of the borders is carried out in general, how could the Azerbaijanis enter the territory of the Republic of Armenia for 3.5 kilometers without encountering any resistance.
This is not only a matter of sovereignty, but also of basic dignity.
Our armed forces must capture the Azeri servicemen who entered the territory of the Republic of Armenia or present an ultimatum to leave the territory of the Republic of Armenia as soon as possible…
Let’s not rely on anyone…
We have to solve the problem of protecting our home.”
Notably, the acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan published a video from the Security Council and wrote:
“This morning, the Azerbaijani armed forces crossed the state border of the Republic of Armenia in that area, deepening for 3.5 kilometers. In fact, they are trying to enclose the Sev Lich (Black Lake). These actions are intolerable for the Republic of Armenia, because it is an encroachment on the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia. This is, in essence, a subversive crossing.”
