We are deeply concerned about the ongoing clashes in Jerusalem. The RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement:

“We call on all parties involved to exercise restraint in order to reduce tensions and prevent further civilian casualties,” the statement said.

It should be reminded that the biggest escalation in recent years on the borders of the Palestinian enclave began on Monday evening. The army said on Tuesday morning that more than 200 rockets had been fired at Israel from the Gaza Strip, 90 percent of which had been stopped by the Iron Dome missile defense system. The Israeli military says about a third of the rockets fired from the Gaza Strip exploded in the Palestinian enclave before reaching the separating fence with Israel. The Israeli military responded by firing on 130 military targets of Palestinian militants in the area, killing 15 militants.
