In order to return the sidewalk to pedestrians and to exclude parking on the sidewalks, a special barrier program has been launched in the capital.

We are informed about this from Yerevan Municipality.

“The sidewalks are completely occupied by cars, the movement of people often becomes difficult, and the people who have problems with moving, for example, our citizens with disabilities, why not, mothers with children in baby carriages, face a serious problem, they have to come out to the busy section of the street,” Levon Zakaryan, a member of the Yerevan Council of Elders says.

The annual program of Yerevan Municipality covers all administrative districts. In 2021, a total of 610 cast iron barriers will be installed in the capital.
