The “My Step” faction of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, guided by Article 140, Parts 6-7 of the Constitutional Law “Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly”, at least one third of the total number of deputies nominated Nikol Pashinyan.

It should be reminded that on 3 May, the decision to elect Nikol Pashinyan as Prime Minister was not passed by 1 for, 3 against, 75 abstentions.
Notably, the Prosperous Armenia faction did not participate in the sitting. Lilit Makunts, the leader of the “My Step” faction, said that the “My Step” faction will abstain from voting for the candidate for the post of Prime Minister in order to make it possible to dissolve the National Assembly and hold special elections.
