The RA National Assembly adopted in the first reading Draft Law on Making Amendments to the Constitutional Law the RA Electoral Code” and the package of draft laws attached to it. The package was adopted unanimously in the first reading with 82 votes in favor and 1 abstention.
The legislative package envisages providing the conduct of pre-election debates on the Public TV by the force of law, expanding the list of expenses made by the foundations, significantly reducing the possibility of increasing the number of NA deputies.
The draft envisages lowering the thresholds for parties from 5 to 4% and raising the thresholds for blocs. To increase the threshold to 8% for up to 3 parties and to 10% for blocs of more than 4 parties.
