If the agreements are not kept, “My Step” will elect a Prime Minister: Nikol Pashinyan

Prime Ministerial candidate, Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated during his speech in the National Assembly that if the agreements with the political forces are not observed, “My Step” will elect a Prime Minister.

He mentioned that he was not going to run as a candidate, and referred to the coronavirus vaccinations.

“Now there is a wide discussion in the world, a big discussion that from the second half of 2021 restrictions can be imposed on citizens who have not been vaccinated against coronavirus,” he said.

It should be reminded that according to the agreement, the ruling “My Step” faction nominated Nikol Pashinyan, and the opposition factions did not nominate a candidacy.

On 25 April, Citizen’s Day, Nikol Pashinyan resigned. After his resignation, the parliament will not elect a prime minister twice. Then the National Assembly will be considered dissolved, special parliamentary elections will be held. Elections in the country are scheduled for 20 June.
