The international community must give a decisive assessment to the aggressive policy of Azerbaijan, which continues to this day: Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Artsakh Republic

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Artsakh Republic has issued a statement, which reads:

In April 2016, in violation of the 1994 ceasefire agreement, Azerbaijan, using its entire offensive arsenal, launched a large-scale offensive against the Artsakh Republic, targeting the Defense Army positions, civilian infrastructure and border settlements.

During the April war, Azerbaijan committed many war crimes against humanity, in particular, numerous cases of Armenian prisoners of war, brutal killings of civilians, torture, and inhuman treatment.

The fact that Azerbaijan was not convicted of war crimes by the international community in the following years intensified the militant aspirations of that country, the focus of which was the unleashing of a new large-scale war against Artsakh on 27 September, 2020, with the support of Turkey and the involvement of international terrorists.

The international community must give a decisive assessment to Azerbaijan’s aggressive policy, extreme disregard for international law, and attempts to abandon negotiations on the settlement of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict.

The unity shown by the Armenian people during the April war and the heroic deeds of our heroes will forever remain in the memory of our history and generations.
