“I advise everyone to get vaccinated, because vaccination is the only way to return to normal life,” Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan said today, on 1 April.

He also mentioned that as she had signed the entry of AstraZeneca into the Republic of Armenia as a minister, she advises to be vaccinated with this vaccine.

As for vaccinating the officials, she noted that there are people who are in a vulnerable group.

According to the minister, there are a small number of citizens who are currently waiting to be hospitalized. “We have an additional 300 beds this week, but as you know, the beds are not endless. The number of oxygen devices is sufficient. Over the past year, we have purchased 15 additional oxygen stations and a lot of equipment.”

Anahit Avanesyan said that they met with the heads of the polyclinics. “Before the start of the vaccination process, the employees go through training stages. I hope that on Monday we will be able to ensure that vaccine is available in the regions and in Yerevan.”
