Samvel Asatryan, Chief of the Information Department of the General Staff of the RA Armed Forces, circulated the statement of the RA Armed Forces, which states:

“Dear compatriots,

The leadership of the Armed Forces reaffirms its assessment of the situation, stressing that, regardless of attempts to involve the Armed Forces in the political process, it remains steadfast, prudent and determined.

The Armed Forces, being composed of the children of our people and anticipating the threats to national security, considers inadmissible and urges to stop the baseless accusations against the Armed Forces and certain officials.

The current situation proves that the Armed Forces is guided exclusively by the state interest, it serves only its people, being guided by the norms of the Constitution and the law of the Republic of Armenia.”
