The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin issued a statement, which reads:

“The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, being informed of the statements of the General Command staff, and the subsequent statements by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, is following with deep concern the developments taking place around them. In this post-war crisis situation, when the homeland faces numerous political, economic, social challenges, accusations, and unceasing calls for political revenge, national unity and security are endangered.

The Mother See considers the further aggravation of the situation inadmissible and destructive, calling on our people to show prudence, responsibility, not to give in to provocations, to refrain from civil clashes.

The Mother See urges the President of the Republic of Armenia, the Prime Minister, the President of the National Assembly, the members of the Government, the leaders of all political forces to seek solutions to the difficult situation at the negotiating table for the love of our homeland and people.
May the Almighty God, under the auspices of his Holy Hand, keep our native state and our people in peace.”
