The Ministry of Defense has issued a statement, which reads:

“Recently, the misinformation regarding the RA Ministry of Defense has sharply increased.

In particular, one of the telegram channels recently spread information that the Minister of Defense Vagharshak Harutyunyan met with the chairman of the People’s Party Stepan Demirchyan and persuaded the latter to meet with the RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The information does not correspond to reality.

In the same way, another publication has nothing to do with the reality: it said that the newly appointed RA Deputy Minister of Defense Suren Sahakyan is a relative of the Minister of Defense Vagharshak Harutyunyan.

The Ministry of Defense once again urges to refrain from disseminating unverified, moreover, obviously false information related to the defense system.”
