On 11 January, the government made a decision to amend the decision N 1514-N of 11 September, 2020 “On establishing quarantine due to coronavirus disease (COVID-19)”.
According to the decision, the quarantine in the republic will be extended until 11 July, 2021 at 17:00.
A number of restrictions have been lifted.
Non-citizens of the Republic of Armenia may cross the border to enter the Republic of Armenia through land border crossing points, if upon entering the territory of Armenia they present a negative result of polymerase chain reaction (COVID-19) test confirming the negative result of the test. Sampling is carried out at the checkpoint, self-isolation is instructed until a negative PCR test is obtained (previously, this requirement was only present at air border checkpoints).
From now on, a person is instructed to self-isolate for 14 calendar days if a person is diagnosed with coronavirus disease (COVID-19) if he or she is not hospitalized.
Restrictions on public events have been repealed, including restrictions on the number of participants for public events (previously 60 participants) and requirements for indoor events.
