On 28 December, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ara Ayvazyan had a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis. Minister Ayvazyan congratulated his Lithuanian counterpart on assuming the post of Minister. The RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs.
“The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Lithuania expressed satisfaction with the dynamics registered in the Armenian-Lithuanian relations, expressing readiness to take practical steps towards the further development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation. Reference was made to the Armenia-European Union partnership, within its framework the cooperation between Armenia and Lithuania, including in the spheres of the agenda of democratic reform.
The Armenian Foreign Minister presented to his counterpart the steps taken to address the humanitarian crisis created in Artsakh as a result of the war unleashed by Azerbaijan with the involvement of Turkish and foreign armed terrorists. In this context, Minister Ayvazyan stressed the need for the involvement of relevant international organizations,” the statement reads.
