Lilit Makunts, the leader of the “My Step” faction of the RA National Assembly, has filed a lawsuit against the leader of the “National Security” party Garnik Isagulyan, demanding compensation for the damage caused to his honor and dignity.

The lawsuit was filed on 23 December and was assigned by Judge Grigory Vardanyan of the Court of General Jurisdiction of the city of Yerevan.
It is supposed that the reason for the lawsuit is the statement made during Garik Isagulyan’s press conference on 9 December that many participants of the revolution, including Makunts, often left for Tbilisi to meet with Azeris and Turks through the US Embassy in Tbilisi. Isagulyan also stated that money allegedly came to Armenia through those people. In addition, he stated that Lilit Makunts personally tried to involve Andranik Hovhannisyan, a student of the Slavonic University and fluent in several languages, in this case, but the latter, realizing what they wanted to involve him in, refused.
