The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia categorically denies the spread rumors that there was an order to withdraw the military units from the two villages of Tavush region, as if the villages would pass under the control of Azerbaijan.

The Head of Information and Public Relations Department of the RA Ministry of Defense Gevorg Altunyan said this in a conversation with “Armenpress”, referring to the information circulating in the media.

“The Ministry of Defense categorically denies these rumors, once again urging to refrain from disseminating unverified false information,” Altunyan said.

Earlier, some media outlets reported that the commander of the 3rd Army Unit of the RA Armed Forces was instructed to withdraw the military unit from two villages of Tavush region, which, as a result of the demarcation, will be under the control of the Azerbaijani side.
