Lawyer Artak Zeynalyan wrote on his Facebook page:

“We are pleased to announce the return of some of the Armenian prisoners held in Azerbaijan. As part of the process, both military servicemen and civilians captured during the large-scale war of 27 September, 2020, as well as persons captured before the war, whose rights we have entrusted to the European Court of Human Rights, have returned home.

More than half of the repatriates are prisoners whose rights we have filed with the European Court of Human Rights against Azerbaijan. We will inform the public about our further steps towards the full restoration of their rights. At the same time, we reaffirm our continued commitment to the return of other Armenian captives held in Azerbaijan.
