The Ombudsman of Artsakh Republic Artak Beglaryan wrote on his Facebook page:

“I just returned from the villages of Mets Shen and Hin Shen in the Shushi region, where I visited to understand the situation and the dangers threatening the rights of our citizens.

The actions of the Azerbaijani armed forces have obviously not only violated the highest level political agreements, but also posed vital threats, especially to the population of the village of Hin Shen, including a group of children and women. Until now, these dangers continue to operate due to the positions and behavior of the Azerbaijani servicemen. It is commendable that some units of the Defense Army and Russian peacekeeping troops are monitoring the situation on the ground, due to which no incident has been reported. However, more serious efforts are needed to resolve the issue, to expel the Azerbaijani servicemen from those settlements in Artsakh.

I presented the situation to the leadership of the Republic and received an assurance that the authorities of Artsakh and Armenia are working together with the Russian side to resolve the issue quickly.

The security of every resident of Artsakh must be unconditionally guaranteed.”
